Luxury Brand Management is designed to balance the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in design management roles within complex, internationally-based luxury brands. Built upon the principles of creating and developing luxury brands, it primarily focuses on fashion and fashion accessories. This year the pathway has helped develop student’s appreciation of how materials, design and craftsmanship are integral to creation of luxury products, services and experiences that satisfy discerning consumers. The 2010-11 cohort have considered luxury brand portfolios and business models, co-branding, brand equity, brand extensions and endorsements, designers and entrepreneurs, and digital luxury via specialist lectures series, visiting speakers and industry professionals from fashion and fragrances industries.
